About Maïna.

I’m a photographer and zine maker based in Squamish, BC, located on the unceded Sḵwx̱ú7mesh territory. After graduating from ETPA (photography school) in 2010, I immigrated from France to Canada in 2014; my photography practice has been focused on people for a few years, primarily working on editorial and portraiture photography.

During the pandemic, my work has shifted toward a storytelling, fine art documentary style, while focusing on themes around mental health. I published my first zine, "Seule," in 2022 and have made it my practice to create mini-zines and pamphlet zines since 2024.

More recently, I've included creative writing as a companion to my visual art and hope to publish my first novel in the next few years.

My zines are currently available at the Squamish Public Library and the Brackendale Art Gallery or copies can be order on this website.
